School District Support

Behavior Coaching is a hands-on approach where a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides direct, in-the-moment support to educators within the classroom. In this model, the BCBA first observes the teacher and students in their natural environment to assess challenges and identify effective intervention strategies. Then, the BCBA actively models evidence-based behavior interventions, demonstrating techniques such as prompting, reinforcement, de-escalation, or structured routines while interacting with the student(s).

Once the teacher has observed these strategies in action, the BCBA gradually shifts responsibility by guiding the teacher through the implementation process, providing immediate feedback, adjustments, and encouragement. Over time, as the teacher gains confidence and competence, the BCBA reduces their direct involvement, ensuring that the teacher can independently apply the interventions consistently and effectively. This coaching model promotes sustainable skill development, enhances teacher confidence, and fosters long-term positive behavior changes in the classroom.
